New Delhi, Nov 25 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Tuesday that there has been remarkable advancement in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 of the electoral rolls, with an impressive 99.16 percent of Enumeration Forms (EFs) already disseminated across 12 states and Union Territories.
The Daily Bulletin released at 3 p.m. shows that the national EF distribution has reached 99.16 percent, showcasing effective field mobilization by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and active engagement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
Currently ongoing from November 4 to December 4, a total of 50.54 crore EFs have been distributed out of the eligible 50.97 crore electors.
Progress in the digitization of EFs is also notable, with 28.71 crore forms digitized, achieving a digitization rate of 56.34 percent.
Goa and Lakshadweep have each recorded a perfect 100 percent EF distribution, with Andaman and Nicobar at 99.98 percent, Madhya Pradesh at 99.85 percent, West Bengal also at 99.85 percent, and Gujarat at 99.73 percent.
Uttar Pradesh, the state with the largest electorate, has achieved 99.64 percent EF distribution, covering over 15.38 crore electors.
Other high performers include Kerala with 97.53 percent, Tamil Nadu at 96.65 percent, and Puducherry with 95.94 percent.
In West Bengal, 7.64 crore electors or 99.77 percent EFs have been distributed, with 70.14 percent of EFs digitized, according to an ECI statement.
Leading in digitization, Lakshadweep boasts 99.33 percent, followed by Goa at 82.68 percent and Rajasthan at 78.39 percent.
On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh has the slowest EF digitization rate at 34.03 percent, closely followed by Kerala with 35.90 percent.
The Election Commission has urged recognized political parties to appoint more Booth Level Agents to expedite the verification and digitization processes.
It is important to note that the figures from Rajasthan do not include the Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision was postponed due to a by-election.
The ECI will continue to provide scheduled bulletins as the revision process approaches its December 4 deadline.
