Samsung Group has generously contributed 3 billion won (approximately US$2.17 million) in cash and essential supplies to aid recovery efforts in the flood-stricken regions. Additionally, Samsung Electronics Co. commenced free inspections and repairs for home appliances and smartphones that sustained water damage starting Friday.
SK Group has donated 2.3 billion won in cash and resources for recovery in the affected areas, particularly in Sancheong, located in South Gyeongsang Province. The group’s affiliates are also delivering on-site assistance.
SK hynix Inc., the group's semiconductor division, has provided 175 packages of relief tents and floor mats for displaced individuals in Asan and Yesan counties of South Chungcheong Province. Furthermore, SK Telecom Co. has set up mobile phone charging stations, distributed portable chargers, and supplied additional emergency items, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
