In a conversation with IANS, Surbhi Yadav’s uncle expressed, "This is a significant pride for all of us. There’s no greater joy than this. Typically, candidates who attain Rank 14 proceed to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), which she has decided to pursue. Surbhi will be back here the day after tomorrow."
He further mentioned that she is currently in Bareilly, and the entire family is rejoicing in her success. "This is a wonderful moment for her parents as well," he added.
Another family member noted that the local community is thrilled with her achievement. "Accomplishing such a remarkable feat at a young age is inspiring. She has become a beacon of hope for middle-class families. Securing Rank 14 is a monumental achievement. While many struggle to pass this exam, she attained this rank on her fourth attempt," the relative stated.
Surbhi’s sister also commended her dedication and hard work. "Surbhi is incredibly diligent. She put in a lot of effort to reach this goal, and I am extremely proud of her," she remarked.
In related news, Anuj Agnihotri from Rajasthan topped the Civil Services Examination 2025, while Rajeshwari Suve M from Tamil Nadu secured the second position, with 958 candidates qualifying for the IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), and other services, according to an official announcement made on Friday.
Rajeshwari is recognized as the highest-ranked female candidate in the CSE 2025, with two additional women in the top 10 candidates.
Agnihotri, who comes from the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, holds an MBBS degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur and completed his Class XII at M.B. Public Senior Secondary School in Kota, as noted by a civil services exam coaching institute.
Before achieving the second position, Rajeshwari had previously topped the TMPSC Group 1 (Deputy Collector).
The third-highest scorer is Akansh Dhull from Chandigarh, who comes from a political family.
This year’s CSE had a total of 958 successful candidates, including 317 from the general category, 104 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 73 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), all of whom qualified based on their performance in the written examination conducted in August 2025 and the personality test held between December 2025 and February 2026.
