Amaravati, May 26 (NationPress) The preparations are complete for the Telugu Desam Party's three-day 'Mahanadu', an annual gathering kicking off in Kadapa on Tuesday. The event will spotlight the unveiling of six key formulas designed to enhance the party's ideological foundation and structural reforms.
TDP National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is set to deliver the opening address, establishing the direction for the discussions at this annual gathering, the first since TDP regained power alongside its allies, Jana Sena and BJP, in June last year.
General Secretary and state minister Nara Lokesh, who is also the son of Chief Minister Naidu, will present the six formulas and proposed amendments to the party's rules and regulations, catering to the aspirations of the younger generation.
The conclave is expected to pass a resolution based on these six formulas, preparing the party for upcoming challenges.
The first formula, 'The activist is the leader', will emphasize the importance of organizational structure and the role of party workers.
The second formula, 'Yuva Galam' (the voice of the youth), will focus on youth welfare, investment, job opportunities, decentralization of development, technology in public administration, and WhatsApp Governance.
Lokesh previously conducted a padyatra named 'Yuva Galam' before last year’s elections to advocate for youth interests.
The third formula will address the global stature of the Telugu community, recalling the legacy of the party's founder, N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), who was instrumental in many reforms, and how the state has progressed under Naidu’s leadership.
The party will celebrate its significant milestones over the past 40 years.
The fourth formula will focus on 'Women power', highlighting programs and initiatives for women's welfare, empowerment, and ensuring safety.
The fifth formula aims for 'social justice and prosperity for the poor', detailing the party's vision of a poverty-free society through the recently launched P-4 program. Goals include providing accessible housing, healthcare, and education under the Swarnandhra Vision-2047.
The sixth formula, 'support for farmers', will elaborate on measures implemented for farmer welfare and agricultural development. This includes leveraging technology for farming, accelerating irrigation project construction, and initiating transformative reforms in the power sector.
The first day will feature discussions on organizational structure, future action plans, and the party's core principles.
A photo exhibition and blood donation camps will commence on the opening day, culminating with the hoisting of the party flag.
The proceedings will start with the 'Maa Telugu Talliki' song, followed by a moment of silence for deceased party leaders and activists.
Post the general secretary's report, TDP State unit President Palla Srinivas Rao will welcome attendees. The treasurer will present a financial report before Chandrababu Naidu's inaugural address.
On the second day, tributes will be paid to party founder NTR on his birth anniversary, with discussions on draft resolutions concerning developmental and welfare initiatives undertaken by the TDP-led NDA Government.
