New Delhi, June 1 (NationPress) Just days after RJD chief Lalu Yadav expelled his elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, from his party following a controversial Facebook post, Tej Pratap conveyed his profound love for his parents while accusing certain "greedy" individuals of engaging in political maneuvers against him.
In a touching message shared on X early Sunday morning, Tej Pratap expressed in Hindi (loosely translated), "My beloved mom and dad…. You two are my entire universe. Your commands hold more significance than God. As long as you are by my side, I possess everything. All I seek is your faith and love—nothing more. Papa, without you, this party wouldn’t exist, nor would individuals like Jaichand, who engage in politics against me. Mummy and Papa, may you both always enjoy good health and happiness."
He invoked the name "Jaichand" to target those he perceives as conspiring against him. Historically, Jaichand was a 12th-century king depicted as a traitor in the poem 'Prithviraj Raso' for forming alliances with Prithviraj Chauhan's adversaries, and since then, the name has been synonymous with betrayal.
Although Tej Pratap refrained from directly naming any siblings, including prominent party leader Tejashwi Yadav, his reference to ‘Jaichand’ suggests possible resentment towards family members who supported Lalu Prasad Yadav’s decision to expel him.
Tej Pratap was dismissed from the party last Sunday due to a Facebook post featuring a woman named Anushka Yadav, with whom he claimed to have been in a relationship for 12 years.
His post stated, "I am Tej Pratap Yadav, and the girl in this photo is Anushka Yadav. We’ve known each other for 12 years and are deeply in love. I’ve wanted to share this for a long time, but couldn’t find the words until now. I hope you all understand.”
After the ensuing controversy, Tej Pratap asserted that his social media account was hacked, claiming, "My social media was hacked, and my photos were altered."
