Patna, May 12 (NationPress) Bihar's Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday vehemently denounced the terrorism that arises from Pakistan, emphasizing that the Indian Army enjoys the unwavering support of the populace in its mission to safeguard national security.
While addressing the media in Patna, Yadav asserted, “Terrorism needs to be eradicated at its roots, and Pakistan, which sponsors such acts, must remain within its own boundaries. We take pride in our defense forces and their capabilities. The nation has complete faith in the Indian Army, which has consistently performed its duties with immense courage.”
Tejashwi Yadav also expressed condolences for the sacrifice of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz, who was killed during a confrontation with Pakistan in the RS Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
“I had a meeting with the son of SI Mohammad Imtiyaz, who valiantly laid down his life for our country. I will visit his hometown, Garkha in Saran district, on Tuesday to pay my respects,” he mentioned.
The mortal remains of SI Imtiyaz were brought to Patna earlier that day. A tribute ceremony took place at Patna Airport, where dignitaries, including Tejashwi Yadav, ministers Shravan Kumar and Nitin Naveen, and BSF officials, paid their final respects with state honors.
Tejashwi Yadav also responded to an incident where he helped rescue a woman and her son injured in a road accident on the Bakhtiyarpur four-lane highway.
“If there’s a chance to save a life, we must extend our help. Road accidents lead to the highest number of civilian casualties. It is every citizen's responsibility to act on humanitarian grounds,” he stated.
