After meeting with the grieving family in Saran district, Yadav remarked, “I met his son in Patna on Monday and today spoke with other family members. I have conveyed my heartfelt condolences. Bihar is proud of this courageous son who laid down his life for our nation.”
Emphasizing Bihar’s history of valor, he stated, “Biharis have always been at the forefront when it comes to sacrificing their lives for the country. My party and the entire nation stand united with the martyr’s family.”
On Monday, the remains of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz were flown into Patna Airport via an IndiGo flight.
A profound sense of mourning filled the area as his body arrived, receiving tributes with full state honors. The entire village is enveloped in sorrow.
When asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, Yadav refrained from criticism but proposed that a special session of Parliament be convened to pay tribute to the armed forces.
“Our soldiers have exhibited unparalleled bravery. Parliament is the premier platform to express our national gratitude. Let all political leaders, regardless of their affiliations, unite to honor them,” he expressed.
Regarding the BJP’s Tiranga Yatra, Yadav remarked, “We are optimistic individuals. The military should never be involved in politics. The actions of our soldiers are recognized globally; their valor speaks volumes. While some engage in political maneuvering, we choose not to.”
Tejashwi also called upon the media to exercise sensitivity during such times: “We previously urged the media to report with responsibility. Even now, we anticipate that the media will prioritize sensitivity, truth, and national sentiment.”
