The Telangana government on Thursday, 30 April appointed outgoing Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy as the State Security Advisor (SSA), a newly designated role that will see him guide the state on policing, internal security, and crime control for the next three years.

Key Details of the Appointment

According to the Government Order (GO) issued by the state, Shivadhar Reddy will advise the government on matters concerning police, law and order, internal security, crime control, narcotics control, and road safety. His tenure as SSA will run for three years from the date of assumption of charge.
