Hyderabad, March 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, has instructed officials to initiate plans for the expansion of ghats at prominent temples and significant tourist locations in preparation for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaram, set to take place next year.
During a review meeting aimed at assessing developmental initiatives for the main temples and Pushkara ghats along the Godavari river, which extends from Basara to Bhadrachalam, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for timely completion of specific projects by June 2027.
Officials presented their proposed plans for the preparations for the Pushkaram through a detailed PowerPoint presentation. The Chief Minister's Office reported that several recommendations were made by the Chief Minister during this session.
He directed that a committee of technical engineers be established to pinpoint appropriate sites for hosting the Pushkaram. This committee is tasked with conducting field assessments and delivering its findings to the officials' committee within 15 to 20 days.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the officials' committee should review the engineers' report and send it—along with detailed cost estimates—to the Cabinet Sub-committee for further evaluation.
Once the Cabinet Sub-committee approves the report, the full Cabinet will make the final decision regarding these planned initiatives.
Additionally, the Chief Minister advised that the strategies should be organized to ensure that both permanent and temporary projects are accomplished according to a prioritized timeline.
To enhance coordination among various government entities, he ordered the creation of a dedicated 'War Room' at Praja Bhavan.
Moreover, the Chief Minister recommended that measures be taken to address any potential issues related to road infrastructure and connectivity among different regions.
During the meeting, officials showcased the master plan for the development and enhancement of the Sri Gnana Saraswathi Temple in Basara, to which the Chief Minister provided several constructive suggestions.
