Ranchi, Jan 17 (NationPress) In a heartbreaking event that unfolded on Friday afternoon at Tiru Falls in Ranchi, three young men tragically lost their lives due to drowning, according to police reports. Among the victims, two were siblings.

The deceased were identified as Ashish Kumar and Ankur Kumar, who resided in Hehal, Ranchi, along with Deepak Giri, a resident from the Chanho police station area. Their ages ranged from 20 to 25 years.

The trio had visited Tiru Falls for a picnic with friends. While enjoying a swim, Ashish ventured into deep waters and started to drown.

In a brave attempt to save him, Ankur and Deepak also entered the deep water and were subsequently swept away.

Onlookers raised the alarm, and local divers quickly rushed to assist, but unfortunately, they were unable to rescue the young men.

The police from the Burmu police station arrived shortly after being notified and coordinated the recovery of the bodies with the assistance of divers. The youths were taken to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Ashish and Ankur Kumar were the sons of Padmalochan Das from Hehal, while Deepak Giri was the son of Ashok Giri from Karakat village under the Chanho police station.

It was reported that Ashish and Ankur had recently celebrated acquiring a new car and decided to take a trip to the falls with their friend Deepak.

This tragic event has left the families heartbroken, creating a somber atmosphere as relatives gathered at the site.

The bodies were sent to RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) for postmortem examination.

Tiru Falls, situated in the Burmu police station area, is a well-known picnic destination in Jharkhand, especially attracting numerous visitors from November to February. However, the absence of sufficient safety measures at the site presents a considerable risk to visitors.
