Jaipur, Oct 10 (NationPress) In a heart-wrenching incident, a man and two of his relatives tragically lost their lives while transporting their mother's remains from Jaipur to Haryana on Friday.

The fatal accident took place on the 152D flyover in Rohtak when their vehicle collided with a parked truck.

ATS officer ASI Joginder Kaur had passed away on Thursday in Jaipur due to complications following a kidney transplant performed three to four years earlier.

The unfortunate event unfolded as her family traveled from Haryana to bring her body back to Rohtak.

According to police reports, Kaur's family members—her 24-year-old son Kirat, her 61-year-old sister Krishna, and a relative from Sonipat named Sachin—were driving in a car that was trailing the ambulance carrying her body.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., their car crashed into a stationary truck on the 152D flyover, with the impact causing severe damage to the front of the vehicle.

Authorities from the Meham police station in Rohtak responded to the incident after receiving alerts from bystanders, using tools to rescue the passengers trapped inside the wreckage.

All four passengers were rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced Kirat, Krishna, and Sachin dead. A woman, identified as the wife of ACB constable Dalbir, remains in serious condition and is receiving treatment at PGI Rohtak.

The police confirmed that the injured woman is the spouse of Dalbir, who serves with the Jaipur Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Her son Sachin, one of the deceased, had just started working as a veterinary doctor in Pali.

The bodies have been placed in the Civil Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations, while the damaged car and truck are now in police custody.

Initial investigations indicate that the car driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.

"The family was driving late at night after retrieving the body from Jaipur. It appears the driver did not notice the parked truck and collided with it at high speed," officials stated.

Point of View

It is crucial to approach this tragic event with sensitivity and a commitment to factual reporting. The loss of lives in such circumstances raises important questions about road safety and the prevalence of driver fatigue. We must advocate for greater awareness and preventive measures to protect families during such vulnerable times.
