Hyderabad, Nov 4 (NationPress) Two individuals lost their lives and many others sustained injuries across three separate accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, following a tragic incident involving an RTC bus and a tipper truck that resulted in 19 fatalities in Rangareddy district of Telangana.
A troubling trend of road accidents involving both RTC and private buses has raised alarms among commuters in the Telugu-speaking regions of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The most recent accident occurred in the Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh, where a private travel bus collided with a truck early Tuesday morning, leading to one death and eight injuries.
This incident took place near Dhamajipalli in Chennakothapalle mandal when a bus traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru struck a truck from behind while trying to navigate a turn. The bus, operated by Jabbar Travels, had 27 passengers on board.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
This marked the second accident involving a private bus on the same route within a span of 10 days.
On October 24, a private bus was engulfed in flames after running over a motorbike that had been left on the road, resulting in the tragic deaths of 19 individuals near Kurnool town in Andhra Pradesh.
The bus, operated by V Kaveri Travels, caught fire after the bike became lodged underneath it, igniting a devastating blaze due to a spark and fuel leakage.
In another recent incident, a head-on collision between an RTC bus and a tipper truck in Rangareddy district also resulted in 19 fatalities.
