Bhopal, May 5 (NationPress) A heartbreaking incident resulted in the loss of four lives when a car collided with a motorcycle near Pidoura village on the Etawah-Uttar Pradesh highway that travels through Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, leaving six additional individuals seriously injured. The accident took place around 1 a.m. on Monday in the jurisdiction of the Barohi police station in Bhind district.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene, taking the deceased for post-mortem analyses. A local representative from Bhind, Narendra Singh Kushwaha, who was on the highway at that time, was the first to notice the injured individuals lying on the road. He promptly transported the victims to the district hospital in Bhind using his own vehicle.
Among the deceased, three were motorcyclists, while the fourth victim was a passenger in the car. Of the three injured individuals, all are currently in critical condition and have since been referred to Gwalior for further medical treatment.
Upon arriving at the scene, Kushwaha remarked that the injured were scattered across the road. He decided to halt his journey and took immediate measures to ensure their transport to the hospital.
The legislator not only facilitated their hospital admission but also took a personal interest in overseeing their treatment. Following the incident, Kushwaha expressed his commitment on social media, stating: "After taking all the injured victims from the road accident near Pidoura village to Bhind hospital, I personally visited the hospital to assess their conditions and arranged for proper treatment, sending the seriously injured to Gwalior for further care," he shared on his X handle.
This tragic head-on collision between the car and motorcycle resulted in immediate fatalities, with the sheer force claiming four lives on the spot.
The incident underscores the urgent need for improved road safety measures. According to police reports, the deceased motorcycle riders have been identified as Biharilal Baghel (40), a resident of Kathma village, along with his uncle Sujan Singh Baghel (50) and cousin Rishikesh Baghel (22), with the car passenger being Mehmood (23).
The bikers had attended a pre-wedding event in Bhind and were returning home late at night. Rishikesh was riding the motorcycle when the incident occurred. Other injured passengers from the car include Suraj (19), Kallu (22), Anshu (22), Shakeel (24), and Chalu (22) -- all were gravely injured and transported to the District Hospital in Bhind via ambulance, with critical patients later shifted to Gwalior, according to police reports.
