Guna, April 12 (NationPress) A heartbreaking road incident in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district resulted in the tragic deaths of a couple after their vehicle collided with a tractor. In addition, two motorcyclists traveling in the opposite direction were also involved in the accident, with a youth and a four-year-old child suffering severe injuries.

The collision occurred late Saturday night on a highway in Guna, specifically on the Kumbhraj-Mohanpur route.

Initial reports from law enforcement indicate that the car's driver attempted to overtake a tractor, which appears to have lost control or veered into the wrong lane. This maneuver led to a direct collision with the overtaking car, which then crashed into two approaching motorcycles.

The force of the impact was so intense that the car sustained significant damage, leading to the deaths of the couple on one of the motorcycles. The husband died instantly at the scene, while his wife was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby medical facility. The deceased have been identified as Kailash Singh (58) and Badi Bai (55), residents of Badaud village.

Their four-year-old grandson, Ashish, also suffered injuries and has been admitted to the Kumbhraj Community Health Centre.

Another motorcyclist was seriously injured in the incident and was quickly transported to the district hospital for medical attention, where his condition remains critical.

Witnesses described the aftermath as chaotic, with debris scattered across the roadway. Local residents promptly arrived at the scene to assist in transporting the injured individuals to the hospital.

Authorities responded swiftly, launching an investigation into the incident. They indicated that the tractor driver lost control, causing the car accident, which subsequently led to the two motorcycles crashing into the vehicles involved.

The tractor driver has been detained, and a case has been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act.

Authorities are diligently investigating the matter to determine the precise cause of the accident.

Initial findings suggest that overspeeding and possible negligence on the part of the tractor driver may have contributed to the tragedy. They will also look into whether the tractor was overloaded or if the driver was experiencing fatigue.

Strict measures will be enforced against those found accountable.

Family members mourning the loss gathered at the hospital, with relatives expressing profound grief and calling for enhanced road safety regulations.

The authorities have sent the deceased for post-mortem examinations and are currently interrogating the tractor driver. Ongoing investigations include reviewing any available CCTV footage.
