Godhra, March 17 (NationPress) A significant incident unfolded late Monday night near the Vejalpur–Kharsaliya intersection on the Godhra–Vadodara highway, resulting in the tragic deaths of two people and leaving several others severely injured, as reported by officials on Tuesday.

Initial reports indicate that a container, trailer, truck, and van were involved in a multi-vehicle crash.

The victims included 32-year-old TRB personnel Jagdish Baria, who was on duty, and Ashraf Pathan, a 30-year-old van driver from Lunawada. Baria was pronounced dead at the scene, while Pathan succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Godhra Civil Hospital.

The van was transporting a family from Lunawada, who were en route from Vejalpur to Godhra.

A total of four children, four women, and one man sustained injuries in this unfortunate accident.

One of the injured individuals is reported to be in critical condition and was subsequently transferred to Vadodara for advanced medical care.

Local residents and police swiftly responded to the scene, assisting in the rescue of those trapped in the wreckage.
