Trump Demands 'Unconditional Surrender' from Iran for Any Agreement
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Washington, March 6 (NationPress) President Donald Trump declared on Friday that an agreement with Iran is impossible unless Tehran agrees to what he termed as "unconditional surrender". He emphasized a staunch stance regarding the future of Iran's leadership and its political trajectory.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that any potential resolution with Iran would only commence after Tehran concedes and a new leadership deemed acceptable by the United States and its allies is established.
"There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" Trump asserted.
The President indicated that the transition post-surrender would involve identifying a new leadership structure that meets the approval of Washington and its partners.
"Following that, with the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, alongside our esteemed and courageous allies, will strive relentlessly to redirect Iran away from its path of destruction," Trump remarked.
He further noted that the United States and its allies would assist in the economic rebuilding of Iran once these conditions are satisfied.
Trump expressed that the initiative would focus on altering the nation's economic trajectory and fostering stability.
"Our goal is to make it economically larger, better, and stronger than ever before," he stated.
Additionally, Trump framed this message within a larger vision for Iran's future, indicating that a change in leadership could pave the way for a different political and economic direction for the nation.
"Iran will have a bright future," he remarked.
He concluded with a slogan reminiscent of his political campaign branding.
"MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)" Trump proclaimed.
In a separate social media message, Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi asserted that the people of Iran have called upon him to lead a transitional phase following the current regime’s exit.
"I have accepted this responsibility. My mission is to restore normalcy in our country and foreign relations. That is exactly what I will do," he stated.
"I commit to ensuring this transition is orderly, stabilizing the country, and allowing Iranians to shape their future through voting. We will avoid repeating errors seen in other nations' transitions, such as 'de-Baathification', and retain many public servants during the handover process as much as possible," Pahlavi added.
