Should Cooch Behar Residents Uproot BJP Completely?

Kolkata, Jan 13 (NationPress) Abhishek Banerjee, the all-India general secretary of the Trinamool Congress, made a fervent appeal on Tuesday to the residents of Cooch Behar to entirely remove the BJP from the district and ensure victory for the TMC in all nine Assembly seats.
During a public assembly as part of his campaign titled 'Abar Jitbe Bangla' (Bengal will win again), Banerjee criticized former BJP MP Nisith Pramanik.
"It should not be a 6-3 split in the nine Assembly seats; it must be 9-0 in favor of the Trinamool Congress. All the rubbish must be removed. Only then will they learn their lesson. Those who disrespect our great figures must be taught a lesson at the ballot box," Banerjee stated.
He condemned BJP leaders for their insults toward Bengal's revered personalities, asserting, "The Home Minister of our country mispronounces Rabindranath Sanyal and calls Santiniketan the birthplace of the Nobel Laureate. Sukanta Majumdar labels Swami Vivekananda an ignorant leftist product. Under Shah's command, BJP members vandalized Vidyasagar's statue. They even question the heritage of Goddess Durga. Are we supposed to learn Hindutva from them?"
Furthermore, Banerjee criticized the BJP for endorsing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal.
"The people have arrived here with a determination to remove Suvendu and Nisith. They came to send back those who refer to us as Bangladeshis. Can we allow those born and raised in Bengal to have their land taken and be sent to Bangladesh? If you think you have the authority, try to lay a finger on them. The soldiers of Trinamool will defend every family with their blood," he remarked.
He also accused the BJP of allegedly using central agencies against his party to gain political advantage in the upcoming Assembly elections.
"They aimed to corner the Trinamool by deploying the ED, but they themselves have been cornered. Did you witness it? Trinamool members at all levels must ensure that everyone who received notices is registered on the voter list. Those enduring hardships due to the poorly planned SIR process while queuing for hearings should silently pray to say, ‘Do not cast a single vote for these individuals.’ After demonetization, they’ve forced people to line up again under the guise of disenfranchisement,” he concluded.
