Chennai, Nov 20 (NationPress) Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay is gearing up to recommence his political outreach following a short hiatus, and insights regarding his upcoming campaign location have been revealed.

As per party insiders, Vijay is set to kick off his tour in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where the TVK has sought official clearance to organize a significant public rally on December 4.

The TVK Chief had paused all public activities after the unfortunate event on September 27, which resulted in the loss of 41 lives due to a stampede during his rally in Veluchamipuram, near Karur.

This tragedy prompted a month-long suspension of the party's activities and a thorough internal review of its administrative and organizational strategies.

In the subsequent weeks, the TVK focused on strengthening its internal structure.

A special general body meeting was recently held at a private venue in Mamallapuram, led by Vijay himself.

The meeting aimed to refine organizational roles, bolster district units, and prepare the party for its next phase of statewide outreach.

With internal mechanisms now back in order, the TVK Chief has decided to recommence his public engagements.

The TVK state executive committee has filed a formal request to the Salem Municipal Police Commissioner, Praveen Kumar Abhinapu, seeking approval to conduct a public meeting on December 4.

The request specifies that the party is seeking permission for one of three potential locations: Fort Maidan, Bose Maidan, or the open grounds at Sheelanayakkanpatti.

The TVK has also asked for adequate security measures and police support for the event.

Insiders have hinted that Vijay plans to visit two districts each week as part of his revitalized campaign strategy.

In contrast to his previous approach—where he addressed public gatherings mainly on weekends—this time, the actor-turned-political leader is expected to hold events during weekdays as well.

In line with this updated plan, the proposed Salem rally is set for a Thursday.

This move represents a crucial step in rekindling TVK's on-ground momentum ahead of the forthcoming political season.

If permission is granted, the Salem rally will mark Vijay's first significant public address after the Karur tragedy and is anticipated to attract large crowds, with the party machinery already commencing preparatory work across the Salem area.

Vijay's return to active campaigning is likely to invigorate party members and signal TVK's determination to advance its expansion plans despite recent challenges.
