Chennai, Dec 14 (NationPress) The general secretary of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Bussy Anand, stated that the party president Vijay has intentionally distanced himself from his personal fame and success to dedicate his efforts towards the welfare of the people in Tamil Nadu. This highlights that his political path is motivated by public service rather than personal ambition.
During a consultative gathering of TVK officials at Tiruchengode, Anand mentioned that the party has initiated constituency-level discussions across the state as directed by Vijay.
Meetings of a similar nature were conducted at Sholinganallur on Friday and Tiruchengode on Saturday. He indicated that such engagements would be held in every Assembly constituency.
“I want to clarify that only the president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will announce the party’s candidates. Media speculations should not misinterpret this,” stated Anand, urging the media to refrain from manipulating the party’s statements or internal decisions.
In response to critiques and comparisons with other political entities, Anand asserted that TVK’s public outreach is unique. “Can any other party gather a crowd like ours? Most parties need to pay Rs 200 or Rs 300 to attract crowds. But when people learn that Vijay is coming, they come naturally,” he remarked.
He also announced a significant TVK meeting scheduled for Erode on December 18, which will see participation from senior leader Sengottaiyan. Anand further emphasized that Vijay symbolically represents all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
“Leader Vijay is the candidate in all 234 constituencies. Our duty is to work diligently to ensure TVK’s success everywhere,” he urged party members to ramp up grassroots efforts.
Reiterating Vijay’s commitment to politics, Anand said, “Vijay has achieved personal success, but he chose to enter public service to create a meaningful impact for the people of Tamil Nadu. He has set aside his own success for this purpose.”
Anand also disclosed that TVK would soon receive an official election symbol. “It will be a magnificent symbol. Within 15 minutes of its announcement, it will gain worldwide recognition,” he confidently stated.
The meeting, which included party leaders and officials, focused on organizational readiness, message distribution, and fortifying TVK’s presence across constituencies ahead of upcoming elections.
