New Delhi, Oct 13 (NationPress) Guman Singh showcased an outstanding performance, propelling the UP Yoddhas to a convincing 40-24 victory over U Mumba at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Monday.

Leading the charge, Guman’s exceptional raiding skills, combined with solid defensive efforts from his teammates, ensured that the Yoddhas maintained control for the majority of the match, finishing with a dominant performance.

The Yoddhas kicked off the match with vigor, highlighted by a fantastic tackle from Sumit, which opened their scoring early. They quickly capitalized on this momentum, as Gagan Gowda executed a successful raid, making it 0-2. The Yoddhas kept the pressure on, extending their lead to four points within the first three minutes of play, demonstrating excellent coordination between their raiders and defenders.

However, U Mumba soon mounted a comeback. Parvesh Bhainswal executed a remarkable super tackle to get his team on the scoreboard, narrowing the gap to 2-4. This breakthrough energized U Mumba, whose defense tightened up and led to two quick tackles that leveled the score at 5-5.

The momentum swung back and forth as both teams exchanged points — first, U Mumba took the lead with a successful raid, followed by an immediate response from the Yoddhas to equalize. By the time of the Strategic Time Out in the first half, the scores were evenly matched, setting the stage for an exciting clash.

Upon resumption, U Mumba secured the first point to take the lead, quickly adding another through a clever tackle by Ajit Chouhan. Shortly after, Sandeep executed a successful raid, stretching their advantage to 9-6.

The UP Yoddhas responded vigorously. Hitesh achieved a stunning Super Tackle, earning two vital points, and Guman Singh followed with a successful raid, leveling the score once more.

As both teams continued to exchange points in a fiercely contested battle, the Yoddhas managed to pull ahead just before halftime, leading by two points at 11-13.

The second half began positively for the Yoddhas, with Guman Singh adding a point through a successful raid. Maintaining a narrow lead, the Yoddhas seemed to have the upper hand until Rinku executed a brilliant Super Tackle for U Mumba, leveling the score again.

Nevertheless, the Yoddhas quickly regained their momentum. Jayesh Mahajan delivered an impressive tackle, allowing his team to retake the lead. Both teams continued to trade points for several minutes, keeping the contest tight. The tide soon turned in favor of the Yoddhas as they inflicted an all-out, extending their lead to four points. Guman Singh then executed a Super Raid, widening the gap to 16-23.

From that moment on, the Yoddhas maintained complete control of the match, leading by six points and constantly pressuring U Mumba before the Strategic Time Out in the second half. The situation didn't change much after play resumed, as Guman Singh continued his stellar performance. He quickly added another point to complete his Super 10 and assisted the UP Yoddhas in inflicting another all-out, increasing their lead to ten points.

The Yoddhas showed no signs of slowing down, consistently increasing their advantage through effective raids and strong defense. With less than two minutes remaining, they executed another All Out, bringing the score to 21-39.

The team maintained their dominance until the final whistle, keeping U Mumba under pressure and ultimately securing a comfortable 40-24 victory.
