YSR Congress Critiques Chandrababu Naidu's Government for Educational Shortcomings

Amaravati, Dec 8 (NationPress) The opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh has taken aim at the TDP-led coalition government for its inadequacies in the education sector.

The party claimed that the government has overlooked essential reforms, lacks a coherent vision, and has turned the "Mega Parents' Day" event into a mere political spectacle.

During a media briefing in Proddatur, YSR Congress spokesperson Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy characterized the government's recent "Mega Parents' Day" as a publicity stunt, asserting that it offered no substantial advantages to students.

He pointed out the dismantling of significant initiatives launched under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, such as the Nadu-Nedu programme, English-medium education, and the CBSE curriculum.

Sivaprasad underscored that while YSR Congress had invested Rs 100 crore in schools within his constituency, the current administration has not even allocated minimal funds for educational advancement.

In Bapatla, YSR Congress leader and former Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi denounced CM Chandrababu Naidu's "Mega Meet" as a political gathering with no real results.

He criticized the Chief Minister for neglecting crucial issues like fee reimbursement, the postponed "Thalli Ki Vandanam" scheme, and the outstanding development of Bapatla Medical College.

Raghupathi accused the event of excluding vital stakeholders to evade scrutiny of the government's failures.

Both leaders condemned the TDP coalition government for emphasizing propaganda over authentic reforms, thereby undermining public schools and letting down students.

YSR Congress reiterated its dedication to promoting educational reforms and urged the government to focus on substantial actions rather than empty political gatherings.

Previously, former minister Merugu Nagarjuna criticized N. Chandrababu Naidu's "Mega Parents Meet" as merely a performance to mask his administration's failures in the education sector.

He chastised Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting government schools and the welfare of students while fostering private institutions.

Nagarjuna highlighted that the coalition government has amassed dues of Rs 3,900 crore in fee reimbursements and scholarships, leaving thousands of underprivileged students in a dire situation.

He questioned Chandrababu Naidu's dedication to education, branding the meeting as a tactic to deflect attention from his administration’s detrimental policies.

Nagarjuna emphasized major accomplishments of the previous YSR Congress government, like the Nadu-Nedu initiative, which modernized over 45,000 schools and hostels with a Rs 12,000 crore investment.

Programs such as Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena, and Vasathi Deevena provided financial assistance and incentives to students, enabling numerous families to pursue quality education.
