Mumbai, January 29 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman recently took to social media to express her thoughts on the notion that no life is perfectly organized and that every experience is essentially a mess.

In a carousel of photos from her recent visit to Jaipur, the star shared an insightful reflection on the common tendency to confuse appearances with reality.

She stated, “We often fool ourselves into believing in the orderliness of life. The reality is that no life is orderly. Those we admire or read about appear to have everything together simply because we know so little about their true circumstances. The chaos hidden behind the facade is always extensive.”

Zeenat Aman emphasized that every individual faces their unique battles and challenges. “Every life is plagued by its own invisible demons: avarice, jealousy, deceit, lust, and violence. There is no order in any life, great or small. It is merely an illusion that people foolishly chase. What we see is just a facade. All lived lives are fundamentally messy.”

She noted that her recent exploration of literature while soaking in the evening light at the Jaipur Literature Festival prompted her to ponder how meticulously people present themselves to the world, contrasting it with their actual realities.

She shared, “While perusing books and enjoying the evening ambiance in Jaipur at the Literature Festival, I found myself contemplating the chaos of life. How each of us curates our image for the world, and how far removed our realities often are. Perhaps this is why we are drawn to gossip—it reveals the flaws behind the mask. But it is also why I cherish literature; it allows me to intimately and empathetically experience the lives of others. @zanuski kindly captured some moments from my week, offering you a ‘tidy’ look into my world:

She commented, “On my plate… a steaming serving of vegetarian biryani (please don’t criticize me for the existence of 'no such thing', you understand what I mean). On my feet… my powder blue Birkenstocks, my preferred footwear. And yes, I do have a tattoo, but that's a story for another day.”

She continued to share glimpses into her life, stating, “On my nightstand… a variety of teas along with Vaseline and Nivea lip balms, which I always have at hand. On my bookshelf… a mix of fiction and nonfiction (the quote I opened with is from The Alchemy of Desire, Tarun J Tejpal’s expansive debut novel, which is one of my favorites).

Furthermore, she added, “On my screen… ‘Caught Stealing’, as I enjoy a crime thriller infused with comedy. And outside my window… sweet Lily patiently waiting to come back into our bedroom.
