Adani Ports Achieves Top 10 Ranking Among Global Transportation and Infrastructure Firms in S&P Global List

Ahmedabad, Jan 8 (NationPress) Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) revealed on Wednesday that it has secured a spot among the top 10 global transportation and infrastructure companies according to the 2024 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).

With a score of 68 (out of 100) - representing a three-point enhancement from the previous year, APSEZ now ranks in the 97th percentile within the sector, advancing from the 96th percentile in 2023, as stated by the Adani Group.

"We strongly believe that responsible business practices foster innovation and long-term success. This latest recognition is a testament to our dedication to sustainability and corporate responsibility," stated Ashwini Gupta, Whole-Time Director and CEO of APSEZ.

"The commitment of our team to incorporate sustainability throughout our operations has been crucial to this accomplishment. We are steadfast in our goal of achieving Net Zero by 2040," he added.

APSEZ stands as the largest private port operator in the nation.

For the second consecutive year, APSEZ clinched the top position in the Environment dimension.

It also recorded the highest scores across various criteria in the Social, Governance, and Economic dimensions, including Transparency and Reporting, Materiality, Supply Chain Management, Information Security/Cybersecurity, System Availability, and Customer Relations.

Part of the globally diversified Adani Group, Adani Ports has transitioned from a port company to a comprehensive transport utility, offering end-to-end solutions from the port gate to the customer gate.

Additionally, the total cargo volume of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) saw an 8 percent year-on-year growth, reaching 38.4 million metric tonnes (MMT) in December 2024. The company's container volume surged by 22 percent, and the liquids and gas volume increased by 7 percent year-on-year in the last month.

On a month-on-month basis, the total cargo volume experienced a growth of 6.6 percent.
