State Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar praised the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO) and Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company Limited (APCPDCL) for this historic accomplishment.

During a virtual meeting with the managing directors of APGENCO and APCPDCL, P. Pulla Reddy, as well as the directors of APGENCO, M Sujaya Kumar, P Ashok Kumar Reddy, and V. Usha, along with APPDCL Director K. Srinivasa Rao and chief engineers of APGENCO, the minister addressed the current power situation.
He urged the power utilities to be thoroughly prepared for the summer season, especially in light of potential El Niño effects, stressing that all necessary precautions must be taken to ensure a constant and dependable power supply across the state.
He also noted that the state utilities successfully met record power demands while maintaining stable transmission operations, indicating a positive trend for the state’s economic growth and development.
The minister stated that this accomplishment reflects the dedicated efforts, technical skills, and coordinated work of engineers, employees, station heads, and their teams, who have tirelessly worked to ensure reliable power generation and meet the increasing electricity demand throughout Andhra Pradesh.
He directed the Energy Department and power utilities to diligently monitor demand trends, optimize available generation, and make proactive arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the summer season.
