New Delhi, March 12 (NationPress) Audi India has declared that it will implement a price increase of up to 2 percent on its vehicle lineup, effective from April 1, 2026. The prestigious German automaker stated that this adjustment will affect all models available in India.

The decision to raise prices comes in response to escalating input costs and currency rate fluctuations, which have significantly impacted the company's overall expenses.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, the Brand Director of Audi India, emphasized that the firm has made every effort to limit the impact of this price adjustment on customers.

“In light of the recent increases in input costs and currency volatility, we are enacting a price revision of up to 2 percent starting from April 01, 2026. We are committed to minimizing the impact of these changes on our customers,” Dhillon affirmed.

This price update will be reflected in the ex-showroom prices of all Audi vehicles sold in the Indian market.

Currently, Audi offers a variety of luxury sedans and SUVs in India and routinely adjusts prices to counterbalance shifts in costs and exchange rates.

In related news, the luxury car manufacturer reported that it delivered 2,128 units in the country during the first half of last year.

Additionally, the company’s pre-owned car segment, ‘Audi Approved: plus’, exhibited resilience with a 10 percent increase in performance during the January-June period of 2025.

Audi operates 26 pre-owned car facilities and plans to expand this network further this year.

“Although the first half of 2025 posed unique market challenges, we have leveraged this time to fortify our foundation for sustainable growth. By focusing on a luxury-first approach and providing exceptional customer experiences, we continue to enhance brand loyalty,” Dhillon remarked, underscoring Audi India's strategic direction.

Point of View

The announcement of Audi India's price increase reflects broader economic pressures affecting the luxury automobile sector. While the company prioritizes minimizing customer impact, this move underscores the ongoing challenges posed by fluctuating costs and market dynamics.
