Kohima, Feb 27 (NationPress) In a significant advancement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Act East' initiative, the Quality Council of India (QCI), in partnership with the Nagaland government, launched the ‘Gunvatta Sankalp’ program in the state. This initiative is designed to bolster efforts aimed at fostering quality-led growth across vital sectors such as healthcare, education, MSMEs, and tourism.

Following successful engagements in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Odisha, the QCI has now introduced ‘Gunvatta Sankalp’ to Nagaland, as stated in a release from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Thursday.

This event served as a vibrant forum that convened senior government officials, industry leaders, policymakers, and specialists to engage in productive discussions and establish partnerships aimed at enhancing quality standards in healthcare, education and skilling, industry and MSMEs, as well as tourism.

"The residents of Nagaland have the potential to become a symbol of quality for the country. The pursuit of excellence and quality is fundamental to our advancement, and Nagaland is dedicated to collaborating in this endeavor. The aspirations of our citizens define the quality of Nagaland - they are the genuine brand ambassadors of our state," stated state Tourism and Higher Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along.

QCI Chairperson Jaxay Shah highlighted the significance of ‘Gunvatta Sankalp’ in empowering states through quality-oriented reforms.

"Nagaland is a state that prioritizes sustainability, entrepreneurship, and excellence - attributes that render it a role model not just for India, but globally.
