New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) The forthcoming ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ is set to establish the nation as a pivotal global hub that will influence the future of responsible and inclusive Artificial Intelligence (AI), according to experts.
As per a statement from the IT Ministry on Tuesday, the 38th edition of ‘Digital India Ask Our Experts’ accentuated the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’, which will take place in the national capital from February 16-20.
Experts elaborated on how the Summit is structured around three guiding principles or ‘Sutras’—People, Planet, and Progress—along with targeted working groups referred to as ‘Chakras’.
The discussions and outcomes from these groups are anticipated to impact AI policy, skill development strategies, and implementation across India and the Global South, the ministry noted.
They also pointed out the opportunities for youth, startups, women innovators, and learners from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, including AI and Data Labs, global challenges, pitch fests, and the ‘YUVAI Global Youth Challenge’.
“The public was informed about the ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’, scheduled at Bharat Mandapam from February 16–20, which will showcase how AI solutions are revolutionizing sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and governance,” the ministry statement indicated.
It further mentioned that citizens raised inquiries regarding AI infrastructure, access to open data, healthcare datasets, participation of startups, governance, inclusion of non-technical users, and online engagement.
Experts reassured that IndiaAI is striving towards open, secure, and inclusive platforms that facilitate participation from individuals, small teams, and public sector organizations.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged startups to utilize AI for societal benefit. During a roundtable discussion with Indian AI startups at his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, he urged for AI to be made affordable, inclusive, and transparent.
Describing his engagement with the youth as “memorable and insightful,” he encouraged them to harness AI for societal improvement. PM Modi also praised the AI-driven startups for their contributions across various sectors, including e-commerce, materials research, and healthcare.
