New Delhi, Oct 29 (NationPress) Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced on Wednesday that India Post is set to transform into a technology-centric logistics provider, aiming for an 80 percent contribution from the private sector in its revenue streams.
The minister encouraged the organization to target a revenue of Rs 25,000 crore from parcel business within the next five years, according to an official statement.
Scindia also revealed plans to upgrade 18 post offices in 7 states into Next-Generation Post Offices, which will set new standards in accessibility, design, and service quality.
This transformation strategy for India Post was unveiled during the Department of Posts Quarterly Business Meet for Q2 FY26 held in New Delhi.
The minister highlighted that India Post is on the verge of evolving into a comprehensive, future-ready logistics organization powered by technology, innovation, and inclusivity, as per the statement.

The growing leadership role of our CMPGs as the CEOs spearheading this significant transformation was also highlighted. At the meeting, we reaffirmed the spirit of India Post as one cohesive family striving towards common objectives," stated the minister.
