Mahindra University and Airbus Team Up to Cultivate Talent for India's Aerospace Sector

Hyderabad, Dec 4 (NationPress) Mahindra University revealed on Wednesday that it has entered into a partnership with Airbus to enhance innovation, research, and education in the fields of aerospace and digital technologies, with the goal of creating a workforce prepared for the future within the country.

The collaboration will focus on curriculum development, industry training, exchanges of faculty and students, along with advanced research in aerospace and digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML), advanced analytics, and cybersecurity.

“This partnership demonstrates Airbus’s acknowledgment of the significant contributions of the Mahindra Group to the aerospace and technology industries. We appreciate Airbus for their confidence and eagerly anticipate building the future together,” stated Anand Mahindra, Chancellor of Mahindra University.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will also enhance internship and placement opportunities for students, promote joint events such as symposiums and workshops, and facilitate connections with international institutions for aerospace-focused projects.

Remi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia, emphasized that human capital is the cornerstone of the aerospace ecosystem that Airbus aims to develop in India.

“Collaborating with Mahindra University is part of our strategy to expand our engagement with academia and cultivate a substantial talent pool necessary to drive India's aerospace industry. Students will gain from the merging of Airbus’s expertise with Mahindra University's outstanding curriculum and faculty,” Maillard stated.

Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor of Mahindra University, noted that this MoU represents a pivotal moment for Mahindra University in aligning academic pursuits with industry requirements.

“Our association with Airbus India will provide our students with unmatched exposure to the latest advancements in aerospace and digital technologies,” Medury remarked.

This collaboration will open doors for students to engage in real-world projects and research, benefitting from insights provided by Airbus while fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between academia and industry.

The university is supported by Mahindra Educational Institutions (MEI), a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra Ltd, the flagship information technology company of the Mahindra Group.
