New Delhi, Feb 10 (NationPress) In an effort to boost employment opportunities for young job seekers, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FoundIt (previously known as Monster), a prominent job portal. This partnership is anticipated to create more than 10 lakh domestic job openings annually on the National Career Service (NCS) portal.

The MoU was formalized in the presence of the Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, and intends to expand both international and domestic job opportunities for individuals registered on the NCS platform.

Individuals on the NCS Portal will have access to job vacancies not just across India but also in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, greatly enhancing their employment possibilities.

Mandaviya encouraged young people to register on the NCS platform and fully leverage the vast array of career prospects available. He also noted that the NCS portal is integrated with the ‘My Bharat, SIDH’ portal, which is instrumental in narrowing the skill gap among youths, thereby increasing their employability.

The minister underscored the NCS Portal’s significant role in connecting job seekers with employment opportunities, both locally and internationally.

"The NCS Portal has evolved into a vital channel, linking millions of job seekers with employers on both national and global scales. With the addition of between 3,000 to 4,000 job listings daily, this MoU is set to introduce 1.25 lakh international job openings and over 10 lakh domestic vacancies to the NCS each year, greatly enhancing employment opportunities for Indian youth," Mandaviya declared.

He further highlighted the NCS Portal’s capacity as a powerful employment-generation platform, connecting job seekers with a variety of industries.

“With over 40 lakh employers on board, the portal has facilitated the mobilization of more than 4.4 crore job vacancies since its launch. At any moment, roughly 10 lakh job vacancies are available, guaranteeing a consistent influx of opportunities for the youth,” he added.

Mandaviya pointed out the NCS Portal’s integration with the e-Migrate platform, which has onboarded more than 500 active Recruitment Agencies (RAs) registered with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to enhance its global outreach. "This initiative has paved the way for Indian professionals to secure positions with reputable, verified employers abroad," the minister remarked.
