New Delhi, Feb 19 (NationPress) In a major initiative to improve job opportunities for young individuals, the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) has joined forces with the recruitment platform APNA.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between APNA and the Labour Ministry is projected to introduce over 10 lakh job openings annually to the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. This initiative is aimed at enhancing local employment options, as stated by the Ministry.
The agreement focuses on assisting job seekers on the NCS portal to access a wider range of employment opportunities in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas.
APNA will upload job postings on the NCS Portal, facilitating connections between employers and candidates in both the formal and informal sectors. The partnership also emphasizes equal job opportunities for women and individuals with disabilities, ensuring a just recruitment process.
APNA will utilize the extensive candidate database of NCS, while MoLE will ensure smooth integration through a user-friendly interface available both online and offline.
“This initiative is in line with the NCS’s goal of fostering a dynamic, inclusive employment ecosystem, aiding job seekers from diverse backgrounds in discovering suitable roles,” remarked the ministry.
“This partnership represents a pivotal move in closing the gap between talent and employment, driving economic progress and workforce development in India,” it further stated.
Since its launch in July 2015, the NCS Portal has acted as a crucial link between job seekers and employers, boasting over 40 lakh registered employers and facilitating 4.40 crore vacancies. Currently, the platform offers nearly 10 lakh job vacancies, ensuring a consistent stream of opportunities.
According to Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, “The NCS Portal has evolved into an essential gateway, linking millions of job seekers with employers on both national and international stages.”
Recently, the Labour Ministry also finalized a MoU with FoundIt (previously known as Monster) to generate over 10 lakh domestic vacancies on the NCS portal each year.
