Additionally, the NCS Portal has seen the mobilization of over 3.43 crore vacancies in FY 2025-26, as stated by Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje in a written response to the Rajya Sabha.

The NCS initiative also aims to establish Model Career Centres (MCCs) in collaboration with states and institutions to provide employment services. To date, the government has sanctioned 407 MCCs across the nation, she noted.

Furthermore, a dedicated module on the NCS Portal allows approved career counselors to offer career advice and guidance services.

As of January 20, 2026, there are more than 1,180 career counselors who have joined the NCS Portal, having conducted over 55 lakh online/offline career guidance sessions nationwide,” the minister added.

The NCS Portal also provides online programs aimed at enhancing employability, digital skills, and self-placed career skills.

It is integrated with the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), which is specifically designed to equip individuals with skills, reskill, and upskill through an online training platform catering to job and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The integration of the NCS Portal with SIDH enables skilled jobseekers on SIDH to benefit from the NCS Portal, while also allowing jobseekers to access the skilling services offered by SIDH,” the minister stated.

To raise awareness and improve the accessibility of the NCS portal, regular social media updates are shared about the available services and job vacancies.

NCS also distributes monthly e-newsletters to inform the public about new developments and activities. Furthermore, the Model Career Centres established in various States/UTs routinely conduct outreach initiatives, including workshops and awareness programs for stakeholders.

The portal offers a variety of career-related services, encompassing job listings from both private and government sectors, information on online and offline job fairs, job matching, career counseling, vocational guidance, and details on skill development courses.
