e-Shram Worker Registrations Surpass 30 Crore, NCS Portal Facilitates 3.89 Crore Job Vacancies

New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) Worker registrations on the e-Shram portal have surpassed 30 crores this year, highlighting its swift and broad acceptance among unorganised workers, as announced by the government on Saturday.
The eShram portal was introduced on October 21 to provide unorganised labour with access to various social sector initiatives.
Registrations have been increasing at a remarkable pace, averaging 60,000 daily throughout October.
To date, 12 social security and welfare schemes have been integrated and aligned with eShram.
These include the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), among others.
"This is an ongoing process, and additional schemes will be integrated into eShram gradually. The platform also allows agencies to utilize eShram data for verifying workers' eligibility, ensuring scheme saturation, and targeting potential beneficiaries at both State and District levels," stated the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
eShram is also assisting all states and union territories by sharing details of eShram registrants to ensure the effective delivery and saturation of welfare schemes for workers.
Concurrently, the National Career Service (NCS) has emerged as a 'one-stop platform' for all career-related services, encompassing job opportunities from both the private and government sectors, information on online and offline job fairs, and training programs.
From January 1 to December 15, a total of 1,89,33,219 vacancies were mobilised on the NCS portal, bringing the overall vacancies mobilised since its inception to 3.89 crores.
This year, the count of active vacancies peaked at 20 lakhs on a single day, with an average of 15 lakhs job opportunities accessible on the NCS portal at any moment, as reported by the ministry.
A total of 11,451 overseas vacancies were listed by MEA registered agents on the NCS portal.
NCS has been integrated with the MyBharat platform to enhance user experience for youth, institutions, and organizations.
