e-Shram Portal Now Offers Support in All 22 Scheduled Languages

New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) The e-Shram portal, designed to assist unorganised workers in utilizing multiple social sector schemes, is now offered in all 22 scheduled languages, as confirmed by the government on Tuesday.
During a ceremony in the national capital, Union Minister of Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya unveiled the portal's multilingual capability.
Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the increasing confidence in the e-Shram platform, revealing that it achieves an average of over 30,000 registrations daily from unorganised workers.
The minister encouraged all unorganised workers to register on the e-Shram portal to benefit from various government schemes aimed at enhancing their welfare, livelihoods, and overall well-being.
Last year, registrations on the e-Shram portal surpassed 30 crore.
Currently, 12 social security welfare schemes have been integrated with e-Shram, including the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), among others.
The IT Ministry’s Bhashini project has been utilized to enhance the e-Shram portal with 22 languages. The earlier version was only available in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi.
The minister further highlighted that registering on the portal would enable access to a wide range of social security schemes and initiatives.
To expand outreach and ensure a user-friendly experience, Dr. Mandaviya mentioned exploring the involvement of mediators such as Common Service Centres (CSCs), bank correspondents, post offices, and MY Bharat volunteers.
Sumita Dawra, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, explained that efforts are underway to establish e-Shram as a ‘one-stop solution’ for easy access to government schemes focused on the welfare and social protection of unorganised workers.
