New Delhi, Jan 21 (NationPress) PhonePe unveiled a comprehensive campaign to celebrate the ongoing Mahakumbh mela in Prayagraj.
This initiative features the 'MahaKumba Ka MahaShagun' offer, allowing first-time attendees in Prayagraj to enjoy a flat cashback of Rs 144 on their inaugural transaction.
The promotion is available until the conclusion of the mela on February 26, applicable for transactions starting at just Re 1.
To enhance consumer engagement, the company is deploying Mahakumbh-themed QR codes, banners, posters, and various branding components at key locations.
Additionally, to amplify the festive spirit, PhonePe has introduced a special greeting on its SmartSpeaker, wishing participants, “Maha Kumbh ki Shubhkamnayein, Maha Shagun ke Saath”.
This campaign aims to facilitate a hassle-free experience for the anticipated 40 crore visitors, ensuring they can participate without the burden of handling cash for transactions at stalls, stores, or shaguns, as PhonePe will be accepted throughout the venue.
Moreover, this initiative is expected to boost the adoption of digital payments in India, promoting financial inclusion for millions yet to embrace digital transactions.
PhonePe has also provided a detailed guide on how to access this special cashback offer. Users are required to first download the PhonePe app on their iOS or Android devices, link their bank accounts, and set a UPI PIN.
To redeem the offer, users must enable location permissions within the app. It is also necessary to keep location services active on their devices.
The offer is exclusive to users in Prayagraj and allows seamless payments via linked UPI accounts across various use cases, with cashback appearing as a scratch card on the PhonePe app.
