Bengaluru, Dec 4 (NationPress) Pincode, a division of PhonePe, revealed on Thursday that it is redirecting its efforts entirely towards enhancing its B2B Business Solutions tailored for offline retailers, while discontinuing its B2C shopping application.

Pincode, which operates as PhonePe’s hyperlocal quick commerce platform, has been collaborating closely with offline merchants to address vital challenges such as limited outreach, delivery inefficiencies, and pricing pressures.

Utilizing data-driven insights, the platform enables retailers to optimize their product offerings in line with actual customer demand, thereby ensuring greater relevance, quicker turnover, and improved profit margins.

“Pincode’s goal is to empower Indian offline shopkeepers with state-of-the-art technology solutions that facilitate business growth and help them stay competitive against modern e-commerce and quick commerce entities. Operating another B2C quick commerce application was diverting our focus from our primary objective, which is to assist offline business partners in achieving operational efficiency, enhanced profit margins, and visibility for growth,” stated Sameer Nigam, Founder and Group CEO of PhonePe.

“With this strategic shift, we will concentrate all resources of the Pincode team on accelerating the development and scaling of a comprehensive suite of B2B business solutions for offline enterprises across India.
