Ahmedabad, Nov 5 (NationPress) RSWM, recognized as one of India’s prominent textile manufacturers, announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a partnership with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) for the provision of 60 MW of renewable energy.
Adani Energy Solutions will oversee the entire green power value chain to fulfill the additional energy demands of RSWM, the leading company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group.
RSWM has invested Rs 60 crore under the Group Captive Scheme with a renewable generation company to supply 31.53 crore units of green power annually to its manufacturing sites across Rajasthan.
This new agreement will boost the share of renewable energy in RSWM’s total energy consumption from the current 33 percent to 70 percent shortly, comprising two-thirds of its overall energy mix.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, the Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of RSWM, stated that this milestone reflects “our enduring vision to harmonize growth with sustainability and cement our status as a forward-thinking industrial leader.”
“By acquiring 70 percent of our total energy from renewable sources—well above the national average of India’s clean energy mix at 31 percent—RSWM is continually setting benchmarks for responsible energy transitions,” he added.
