San Jose (US), Jan 22 (NationPress) Marking the dawn of a new era in artificial intelligence, Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy S series smartphones on Wednesday, showcasing advanced on-device AI with multimodal capabilities and personalized assistance functions.

The Galaxy S25 lineup includes three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, all revealed during the Unpacked event held at the SAP Center.

Roh Tae-moon, the head of Samsung Electronics' mobile division, emphasized the series' commitment to integrating AI into the operating system, transforming how users engage with technology.

"The Galaxy S25 series paves the way for an AI-integrated OS that fundamentally changes our interactions with technology and our daily lives," he stated during the presentation.

Each model is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset, a bespoke version created in collaboration with Qualcomm Inc. and Samsung.

This chipset is touted as the most powerful processor in a Galaxy S series device, boasting up to a 40 percent enhancement in display image scaling quality and energy efficiency over its predecessor.

The Galaxy S25 series operates on One UI 7, Samsung's AI-driven user interface, designed to optimize multitasking by minimizing the reliance on multiple applications and facilitating smooth interactions.

Equipped with multimodal capabilities, the Galaxy AI agents enable devices to understand text, speech, images, and videos, providing a more intuitive user experience.

The Galaxy S25 also enhances natural language comprehension, allowing users to find specific photos, modify display font sizes, or execute various tasks through voice commands.

Moreover, its communication features include live translation and interpretation services in 20 languages, alongside new call transcription and summarization functionalities.

The Galaxy S25 series features innovative tools developed through Samsung's collaboration with Google.

A dedicated side button activates Google’s Gemini assistant, ensuring stable interactions between Samsung and Google applications.

Google’s improved Circle to Search feature, previously introduced in earlier Galaxy models, can identify phone numbers, emails, and web addresses displayed on the screen, enabling swift actions with a single tap.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra showcases a 50 million-pixel ultrawide camera, a significant upgrade from the previous model's 12 million pixels. The AI-powered ProVisual Engine guarantees ultra-detailed images under various lighting conditions.

Galaxy AI's Audio Eraser technology empowers users to eliminate unwanted noise in videos or adjust audio tones for voices, music, or environmental sounds.

The Galaxy S25 series is set for an official launch on February 7 globally, according to the company.

Samsung Electronics has maintained the pricing for the S25 series at the same level as its predecessor.
