Samsung Set to Debut New Galaxy Smartphones Featuring Cutting-Edge AI in the U.S. This Month

Seoul, Jan 7 (NationPress) Samsung Electronics is set to host this year's Galaxy Unpacked event in the United States later this month, as confirmed by company officials on Tuesday. During this event, the tech giant is anticipated to launch its latest Galaxy S series smartphones that come equipped with sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities.

The highly awaited event is scheduled to take place in San Jose, California, at 10 a.m. on January 22 (U.S. time), themed 'The Next Big Leap in Mobile AI Experiences', according to reports from Yonhap news agency.

In their invitation to the occasion, the company stated, 'We invite you to explore Samsung Electronics' innovations that will unlock new horizons for mobile AI experiences through natural and intuitive Galaxy AI.'

While specific details about the product lineup remain undisclosed, it is expected that flagship Galaxy S25 smartphones, including a new slim model, will be launched during this event.

The slim model is projected to be the thinnest variant ever in the Galaxy S series, although further details have not yet been revealed.

The event will also be available for live streaming on YouTube and the company's official website.

Typically, Samsung holds its biannual Unpacked events during the winter and summer seasons, as reported.

Last year, the company conducted its winter event in San Jose in January, showcasing the Galaxy S24 series, and its summer event took place in Paris in July, where it unveiled the latest generation of foldable smartphones alongside a new ring-type wearable device.

In a related note, the company aims to enhance sales of its new foldable smartphones by over 10 percent, underscoring the inclusion of advanced AI capabilities.

Previously, Samsung indicated plans to integrate on-device Galaxy AI into around 200 million Galaxy devices by the end of the year, offering the service free of charge until 2025.
