New Delhi, March 7 (NationPress) Tech Mahindra announced on Friday that it has made a major advancement in broadening its presence in the United States (US) with the launch of its new Americas headquarters in Plano, Texas.

This initiative demonstrates the company’s increasing dedication to the US market while aiming to enhance its influence in fostering technological innovation across various sectors.

The new office, marking Tech Mahindra’s 19th establishment in the US, is strategically located in North Texas, a region renowned for its vibrant business environment and rich talent reservoir.

Spanning 27,000 square feet and equipped with 130 workstations, the office is poised to become a central hub for technology consulting, customer support, and digital solutions.

A notable feature of Tech Mahindra’s expansion is the proposed Innovation Lab within the Plano site.

This lab will serve as a center of excellence, propelling research and development initiatives to hasten innovation.

“Technological innovation is vital for the growth of our region. The new Tech Mahindra office will cultivate local talent and make a substantial contribution to our economy, embodying our mutual commitment to nurturing a thriving tech ecosystem,” stated Plano Mayor John B. Muns.

Lakshmanan Chidambaram, President and Head of the Americas Leadership Council at Tech Mahindra, referred to Texas as a burgeoning hub for technology and innovation.

“As a leading employer in North Texas, we are excited about the opening of our new facility, which highlights our dedication to serving customers, partners, and the local economy,” Chidambaram remarked.

He further noted that the new facility will allow for the enhancement of innovation offerings, especially in fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, providing advanced solutions that align with evolving industry demands.

In addition, the IT and digital solutions provider reported a 21.4 percent decrease in its net profit for Q3, totaling Rs 988 crore (quarter-on-quarter), compared to Rs 1,257 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q3 FY24).

The company’s total workforce at the end of the quarter stood at 150,488, reflecting a reduction of 3,785 on a quarterly basis.
