During a meeting with a delegation from the Central Secretariat Services (CSS) Group C Employees’ Association, a thorough representation was submitted detailing various service-related issues, including promotions and cadre restructuring.
Dr. Singh highlighted that extensive promotions occurred across three services: Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service (CSSS), and Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS).
He noted that more than 8,000 promotions were executed on June 30, 2022, with over 16,200 promotion orders issued across various grades from 2022 to 2024.
Association members requested promotions for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and CSCS employees, echoing earlier assurances from the minister regarding streamlined promotions within senior ranks.
The group also urged the prompt publication and implementation of the first CSCS Cadre Review and called for structural reforms to establish a predictable career trajectory.
These requests were formally presented during the meeting, and Dr. Singh instructed relevant officials to prioritize and expedite the review of these matters.
The minister's assurance of swift action has heightened expectations among Group C employees, for whom career advancement and cadre reform have been pressing concerns. Employee representatives expressed gratitude to the Minister, indicating that resolving these issues promptly would significantly boost morale and efficiency within the Central Secretariat.
