Chennai, Feb 28 (NationPress) Actor Aadhi, who portrays a paranormal investigator in director Arivazhagan’s horror-thriller Sabdham, has revealed that the Sabdham team experienced paranormal activity during the film's production!
In a recent conversation with the media, Aadhi stated, “In this film, I portray a paranormal investigator delving into a supernatural realm, and my role is something unprecedented in Indian cinema. It’s an innovative concept, thanks to the insights shared by Arivazhagan during his research, which was extremely informative.”
Aadhi mentioned that he indeed felt paranormal activity while on set.
“During filming, we encountered some paranormal phenomena, which we could perceive distinctly. In those moments, we would immediately alert our crew members, ensuring we wrapped up filming swiftly and vacated the area. After a few days, we became somewhat accustomed to it,” he explained.
This isn’t Aadhi's first foray into horror; his previous collaboration with Arivazhagan, Eeram, also a horror film, turned out to be a major success.
“While shooting Eeram, I was skeptical about ghosts. However, after researching for my character in this film and viewing various videos, I’ve come to believe, to some extent, that paranormal entities might indeed exist,” he shared.
The film features Lakshmi Menon as the lead actress, with notable performances from Simran, Laila, M.S. Bhaskar, Rajeev Menon, Reddy Kingsley, and others. The music for the film has been composed by Thaman.
Discussing his future projects, Aadhi remarked, “When selecting scripts, I don’t categorize them as Tamil or Telugu; instead, I focus on whether the scripts resonate with me and are convincing. Most importantly, I assess if the audience will appreciate and connect with them. This year, I have several Tamil films set for release, including Sabdham and Maragatha Nanayam-2. The shooting for Maragatha Nanayam-2 will commence next month with the same team. In Telugu, I'm currently involved in the second installment of Akandha alongside Balakrishna. He also viewed the trailer of Sabdham and commended it.”
