Chennai, Feb 24 (NationPress) Actor Aadhi, who portrays a paranormal investigator in director Arivazhagan’s highly-anticipated horror thriller ‘Sabdham’, reveals that the director provided him with clips featuring various paranormal investigators to enhance his understanding of the character.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Aadhi, who previously starred in Arivazhagan’s successful film ‘Eeram’, explains that paranormal investigators are actual professionals, with some even possessing licenses to probe into supernatural phenomena and events.

“Director Arivazhagan shared clips of such paranormal investigators with me. One notable figure is Gaurav Tiwari, among the few licensed paranormal investigators in India, who was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances,” he shares.

When asked if Aadhi’s character in the film is inspired by any real-life personas, he clarifies, “No, my character is not based on anyone. These clips were merely for reference.”

While ‘Eeram’ interwove a beautiful romantic narrative into its horror investigation, Aadhi mentions that ‘Sabdham’ focuses more on the emotional bond between a mother and her child.

Sabdham will present a unique perspective on horror. The motives behind the revenge depicted will be quite different,” he reveals.

In contrast to Arivazhagan’s ‘Eeram’, where spirits utilized water as a medium for their objectives, ‘Sabdham’ will employ sound for that purpose.

The film, which has already garnered attention with its stylish teaser, is scheduled for release on February 28 this year.

Alongside Aadhi, actress Lakshmi Menon will star in a leading role as a first-year resident doctor.

The cast also includes Simran, Laila, Redin Kingsley, MS Baskar, and acclaimed director Rajiv Menon in significant roles.
