Chennai, Feb 20 (NationPress) Highlighting his commitment to being honest with his audience, director Arivazhagan, a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, stated that his integrity has been a significant factor in his success.

On Wednesday, he unveiled the trailer for his upcoming horror thriller, Sabdham, starring Aadhi and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles.

This film features music by acclaimed music director Thaman and cinematography by Arun Bathmanabhan, produced by 7G Siva.

During the trailer launch, Arivazhagan recounted a school experience that exemplified his honesty.

He shared, “In sixth grade, I faced a challenging Geography exam. The passing mark was 40, and I was anxious about my performance. After completing the test, I realized I had answered six questions instead of the required five.

“Worried that my extra answer might lead to a deduction, I checked my results and found I had passed with 40 marks. To my surprise, they had awarded marks for the extra question as well,” Arivazhagan continued. He explained how he approached his teacher to point out the additional marks he received.

“I informed the teacher about my extra answer. He acknowledged his error and adjusted my score to 37 but also wrote, ‘Plus three marks for honesty,’ bringing my final score to 40. This principle of honesty drives me to this day,” he shared, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience at the trailer event.

Sabdham has generated significant anticipation, featuring Aadhi as a paranormal investigator and Lakshmi Menon as a first-year resident doctor.

While his debut film ‘Eeram’ used water as a medium for spirits, Sabdham will employ sound in a similar manner.

This marks the second time Arivazhagan explores this genre. The film's music is composed by Thaman, a close collaborator and one of the leading figures in the Telugu music industry.

In addition to Aadhi and Lakshmi Menon, the cast includes Simran, Laila, Redin Kingsley, MS Baskar, and renowned director Rajiv Menon in significant roles.
