Chennai, May 14 (NationPress) Director Abishan Jeevinth, whose recently launched film 'Tourist Family' has quickly become a blockbuster and continues to draw audiences, shared an amusing anecdote: he was unable to obtain tickets for his own film when he visited the cinema with his family.
"I want to extend my gratitude to the press and media for championing my film. It was only after seeing your reviews that audiences began flocking to theaters to watch it. We all had faith in this film's potential, but we never anticipated it would achieve such remarkable success," stated Abishan Jeevinth, who went on to recount a humorous experience.
"Three days ago, I accompanied my family to the cinema to see my film. To my surprise, I could not secure tickets. I genuinely felt joy at not being able to get tickets for my own film. This shows how well the film is performing, not only in Chennai but across various locations. We visited multiple theaters, and it was the same story everywhere. Entire families are attending the late-night screenings," he expressed, thanking the producers and his dedicated team for their contributions to the film.
The film, which was released simultaneously with two other major films—Suriya's 'Retro' and Nani's 'Hit: The Third Case'—has remarkably turned into a phenomenal success, earning several times the initial investment.
'Tourist Family', which premiered on May 1, is a heartwarming family entertainer featuring Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles. The cast also includes Yogi Babu, Mithun Jayashankar, Kamalesh, M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bhagavathi Perumal (Bucks), Ilango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi, among others.
Aravind Viswanathan is the cinematographer, while Shaan Rahman composed the music. The editing was done by Bharath Vikraman, and the art direction was led by Rajkamal.
Produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment, the film is supported by producers Nasareth Baslian, Mahesh Raj Baslian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan.
