Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 4 (NationPress) – Actor Adivi Sesh shared a remarkable story about how he once journeyed across the US-Canada border in pursuit of his first love, describing it as a significant six-month chapter from his youth.
At an event for his forthcoming film, “Dacoit,” he was joined by director Anurag Kashyap and co-star Mrunal Thakur.
Speaking to the gathered media, he stated, “Let me reiterate this publicly. In my first love story, I was in the US. I traveled to Canada to pursue the girl.”
He continued, “I had no money on me. I sprinted to the border, asking people if there were any Indians around so I could find a place to stay. This was an incredibly intriguing six-month episode in my life.”
Regarding “Dacoit,” the film stars Adhivesh alongside Anurag Kashyap and Mrunal Thakur.
Adivi Sesh has also been involved in projects such as “Bombay Shovel Club” and “The Field,” among others.
Primarily known in the southern film industry, he previously discussed the unique strengths of Telugu cinema.
He noted that unlike other film industries in India, Telugu cinema possesses a profound emotional foundation, as it is not predominantly controlled by corporate entities.
When asked what differentiates Telugu cinema from others in India, he told IANS, “I believe it’s about emotional ownership. Let me explain. Telugu cinema remains largely produced by individual producers. Some may have mortgaged their homes, while others have sold land to finance a film.”
He added, “Whether it’s someone who succeeded in real estate or a doctor venturing into film production, these individuals are behind our INR 300, 400, 500 crore projects.”
