Mumbai, Oct 21 (NationPress) Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is in mourning following the death of the iconic actor-comedian Asrani. He reflected on their collaborative years in some of Hindi cinema’s most beloved films, including Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag, and De Dana Dan.
On Instagram, Akshay posted a memorable photo from their film together and recounted their recent meeting just a week prior on the set of Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan.
“I am at a loss for words due to the profound sorrow caused by the passing of Asrani ji. We had shared the warmest hugs just last week during the Haiwaan shoot. He was such a lovely person with unparalleled comic timing,” Akshay expressed in his caption, who is set to appear with Asrani in upcoming films like Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan.

Asrani passed away at 84 due to a chest infection at 3 PM on October 20, as informed by his manager. His final rites were conducted at Santacruz Crematorium on Monday.
