Mumbai, Feb 27 (NationPress) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar fondly reflected on his early career while discussing his collaborations with actress Madhoo in films like “Elaan” and “Zaalim”.
During the second trailer launch for the forthcoming film “Kanappa”, which was a media-exclusive event, Akshay shared his sentiments about Madhoo.
He expressed: “I am so thrilled to reconnect with Madhu ji today. We worked together in a film where she played the lead role alongside me. That film was ‘Elaan’, and we also did ‘Zaalim’. I am genuinely delighted. It has been around 20 years since I last saw her.”
Akshay remarked that she remains unchanged.
“I see you, and it feels like you haven't aged a bit. You look just the same. I even told her it seems like she must sleep in the fridge at night!”
“Elaan”, which debuted in 1994, was directed by Guddu Dhanoa. The cast features Akshay Kumar, Madhoo, and Amrish Puri, along with Farida Jalal, Deven Verma, Mohnish Behl, Dalip Tahil, Mohan Joshi, and Rami Reddy. The film's plot centers around ACP Ramakant's elder son being murdered, and his quest for justice through legal channels proves futile. His younger son, Vishal, opts to take matters into his own hands.
On the other hand, “Zaalim” is a crime drama directed by Sikander Bharti, featuring Akshay Kumar, Madhoo, Vishnuvardhan, and Alok Nath.
Regarding “Kannappa”, this Telugu historical drama, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, narrates the story of the legendary devotee of Shiva.
