“Ikkis” marks Dharmendra's last role on the silver screen, as he passed away on the same day that the makers unveiled his character poster from the film.
This cinematic portrayal highlights the heroic sacrifice of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra during the 1971 war, showcasing Dharmendra as Arun’s father.
Earlier, the creators delighted audiences with a poignant poem by Dharmendra, titled “Aj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa,” which encapsulates his nostalgia and longing for his beloved village.
Sunny was also moved after witnessing his father's stirring performance in "Ikkis".
