National Award-winning composer Amit Trivedi has revealed the creative thinking behind the hook line of 'Feel Banate Hain', the debut track from Star Plus' upcoming show 'Yeh Fitoor Tera', which premieres on 5 August at 8:30 PM. The peppy number, whose catchy refrain — 'Chal Na Reel Banate Hain, Feel Banate Hain' — taps directly into the reel-making culture that defines today's Gen Z, was designed to feel both fun and instantly recognisable.

The Story Behind the Hook

Trivedi explained that the brief was straightforward: craft a light-hearted song for a Gen Z-centric show where a girl expresses her feelings for the guy she likes. The reel reference emerged organically from that premise.

'We needed a fun song for this Gen Z show, Yeh Fitoor Tera. The idea was that a girl is singing for the guy she likes. Keeping that in mind, and also thinking about today's times, the line Chal Na Reel Banate Hain came to us. Nowadays, everyone is making reels, so it felt very relatable,' Trivedi said.

Lyricist Geet Sagar's Contribution

Trivedi was generous in crediting lyricist Geet Sagar for capturing the emotional core of the track. 'I must say, Geet Sagar, who wrote the lyrics, captured the mood beautifully. He described the song really well and perfectly expressed the emotions and mindset of the female protagonist,' the composer noted.

The collaboration appears to have been a creatively rewarding one for Trivedi, who described the assignment as a welcome departure from more intense projects.

A Return to Light-Hearted Music

'After quite a long time, I got the opportunity to create a light-hearted, fun-loving track, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process,' Trivedi said, adding that he hopes audiences enjoy both the song and the world of 'Yeh Fitoor Tera' when it airs.

The track's sensibility mirrors the show's own ethos — celebrating the carefree, spontaneous spirit of a generation that documents life as it happens. This alignment between the music and the narrative is a deliberate creative choice, positioning 'Feel Banate Hain' as more than a promotional number.
